Now you can train to become a casting master in Aarhus
If you have a passion for saunagus and dream of sharing your joy of gus with others, you now have the opportunity to become a certified gus master at the harbour in Aarhus.

Saunagus has become a popular wellness activity, and now anyone with sauna master dreams can join a Open course at Aarhus Marina.
The local surf and wellness company, Surf Agency, has succeeded in bringing the experienced shower master Thomas Frank to Aarhus, where he will teach new shower masters. He is a former Danish championship silver medallist in saunagus, and together with Surf Agency, he is now inviting you to an intensive and thorough surf master course on Saturday 16 March from 10-18.
Great interest in the art of casting
Surf Agency has been offering saunas since autumn. It's a wellness experience where a shower master uses a towel or fan to distribute the heat and scent of essential oils among the sauna guests.
- The interest has been great and we really enjoy creating warm wellness experiences for our guests. Many people have expressed their dreams of becoming casting masters, and we wanted to fulfil that with this new casting master course," says Michael Allman, who runs Surf Agency with his partner Finja Götz.
Learn how to swing the towel
During the course, participants will learn about safety, the effects of essential oils and their use in the shower experience, as well as towel techniques to optimise heat distribution in the sauna. At the end of the course, participants will plan and perform their own sauna shower with feedback from the instructor.
- "It's important that we get some new pouring masters out into the country who are aware of safety and have the optimal conditions and skills to provide good pouring experiences," says Thomas Frank, who is pleased that the collaboration gives him the opportunity to share his skills with the people of Aarhus.
Experienced casting master teaches
Thomas Frank runs Gusmester.dk in Copenhagen and has many gus under his belt. He has won silver in classic saunagus at the Danish Championship.
- "We are thrilled to be working with Thomas, who is one of the leading pouring masters in Denmark. We can't wait for him to come to Aarhus and make us all wiser in the art of master moulding," says Michael Allman.
After the course, participants receive a certificate as proof of their new skills. This can be an advantage if you want to work as a shower master in saunas in e.g. wellness centres or swimming pools.
Places are limited and enrolment is on a first come, first served basis.
