On the water
On the water you will be challenged in cool surfer moves, co-operation exercises, various competitions, games and SUP polo or SUP yoga! And we guarantee a lot of laughs and good memories.Β

Add 1.5 hours of outdoor wellness with our barrel sauna, hot tubs and cold water tub. Enjoy freshly brewed draft beer or bubbles from our neighbouring brewery Hantwerk.
FAQ
Get answers to the questions our visitors often have for us.
General questions
Are changing and showering facilities available? Indoors?
We have changing facilities - both indoors and in our surfer garage, so you don't have to change in a car park π There are mirrors, hair dryers, and of course toilets available.Β
We have 2+1 showers indoors and 4 outdoor showers with both hot and cold water.
Can you store valuables?
Yes, we can lock up smaller valuables and larger items can be stored in our office. Storage is at your own risk.
Where can you park?
There is free 3-hour parking all along Fiskerivej. There is also paid parking within walking distance at Navitas and DOKK1 to Surf Agency - and the light rail also runs right past.
What should you bring?
Bring your own swimwear and towels - we'll take care of the rest π
SUP
Do you need to bring anything with you?
You need to bring your own swimwear (to wear under your wetsuit) and a towel if you want to shower afterwards.
Do you have to wear a wetsuit when SUPing?
Yes - you have to. Wetsuit (and other neoprene gear is included in the price). On hot days, you can keep your wetsuit open and possibly down around your waist - but everyone wears a wetsuit and life jacket.
Do you need to be able to swim?
Right. We stay close to shore, wear wetsuits, lifejackets and safety leashes, but the water is deep and can be cold.
Can you join if you are pregnant?
You can do it - if you're unsure you can stay on your knees and it's always ok to skip some exercises. We can show you another way to get on the board that is more optimal when you're pregnant. It's up to the pregnant woman how much she wants to participate - please give us a call and let's talk about it if you have any concerns.Β
What if you have a bad knee/shoulder/back, are afraid of water or have poor balance?
In the vast majority of cases, you can easily participate in stand up paddle - and you are always welcome to skip some exercises or take it easy. Always let your instructor know if there is anything that needs attention. If you're very nervous about water or have other issues, it's a good idea to come down before an event to check things out and then it can be an advantage to book a private course - so we can do things on your terms.Β
Can you bring children - how old do children have to be?
SUP is a great activity for children and families. Children can typically paddle their own board from around the age of 8, but some can do it earlier. Smaller children can sit on the board in front of their parents when they are a little older, possibly with their own paddle so they can help out and get a feel for paddling and steering. We recommend that parents have tried SUP before taking children out on their own. We offer family courses where an instructor will be with you to ensure safety and fun and give advice on paddling with children.
Do you need an intro to board handling if you've tried Stand Up Paddle before?
If you've previously rented a board from us or attended our 2.5-hour SUP course, you don't need to get our quickie intro - you get two hours of board hire instead. If you've been on a bachelor party, team building or have NOT paddled with us before, you MUST have a quickie intro - so we know that you know about safety and where you can paddle and if you've tried SUP before, we can talk a little bit about technique and we can show you some fun tricks.
What is your alcohol policy?
Alcohol and water sports are a very bad combination, so we don't allow you to drink before you get on the water - that's why we recommend that Stand Up Paddle events are organised as early in the day as possible. If you arrive drunk, you will not be allowed on the water and you will not be compensated in that situation.Β
During our Outdoor Wellness you may have had a few drinks beforehand, but we expect our guests to behave properly and follow the instructions of our staff.Β
See our terms and conditions here:
What do you do?
Depending on which SUP activity you have booked, there are different programmes.Β
Regardless of the event type, we start slowly with some information on land about how to steer and paddle, then we get on the water and start briefly practising steering while kneeling - then we get up and do some more control exercises.Β
For Stand Up Paddle Teambuilding events, Group Events and Bachelor Party events, there will be different games, exercises and challenges - it can be surfing turns, racing, relays, cooperation exercises, ball games (SUP Polo), yoga exercises, fitness exercises and other things - we have a programme that fits the event - but we can adapt it to the group as desired and often along the way.Β
SUP courses at Surf Agency include a review of paddling technique, what to look out for in terms of safety, wind and weather, equipment and then we do rescue exercises, paddle a good trip and give you some different challenges to work on.Β
Can't we just go out on the water ourselves?
Smaller groups (up to 6 people) can rent boards and head out on their own after a short instruction. For larger groups, we require an instructor with you - this provides better safety and our instructors can help you set different challenges to accommodate any differences in level and make it fun for everyone.
How long does it take?
The times given (2 hours for team building, 1.5 hours for stag parties etc) are from arrival until you are back on land. We recommend that you arrive 10 minutes before - and when everyone has arrived, you will be given wetsuits and can change. The time you spend showering and changing after we are back on land is not included.
Outdoor wellness
Can we drink beer in the hot tub?
Yes, it's part of the concept. Enjoy a delicious cold draft beer from our neighbouring brewery HumlelandΒ From Hantwerk.Β
Can we bring our own drinks?Β
We have a good partnership with our neighbours Hantwerk, with whom we also share the outdoor area. Here you can get great prices on jugs of freshly brewed draft beer, wine, soft drinks and bubbles. It is not allowed to bring beverages to an outdoor wellness event.Β
Hantwerk is a (microbrewery and restaurant...) that offers great prices for our Outdoor Wellness guests, including 1.5 litre jugs of freshly brewed draft beer. (17 different beers on tap) Prices start at around DKK 170 / jug. We recommend that you pop into Hantwerk and order and pay before you come over to us. This also gives you the opportunity to sample the large selection. Β
Do I need to order drinks in advance?
No - you just do it on the day. We recommend that you stop by Hantwerk and place your order before you join us in the outdoor wellness centre. You can pay for drinks at the bar.
If you want to order extra drinks on an ongoing basis, you can leave a credit card at the bar and our staff will be happy to help you get more.Β
I want both a sauna and hot tub - but there are only 4 of us, what do we do?
To make ends meet, we have to charge a minimum of 6 people in order for you to have both sauna and hot tub. Call us and let's talk about it.
How many can we have for outdoor wellness?
We have room for about 22 guests in the hot tubs and sauna at the same time. Contact us if there are more of you - we may be able to fit another sauna or bath in the area.
Is winter swimming possible at your location?
Yes, you can... in our lovely cold water barrel! The water in the tub is filtered with a sand filter pump system and disinfectant with active oxygen. We also have our own access to the harbour basin right by the Surf Agency, but as it is a harbour, we do not recommend swimming here.Β
Isn't it too cold in winter?
The experience of sitting in 38-39 degree warm water under the open sky improves the colder and "worse" the weather is. We like to say: The worse the weather - the better the experience. The cold makes the hot hot tub and sauna experience even more special. Bring bathing shoes, a hat and bathrobe, which can be nice to have when it's very cold outside.
Do we need to bring anything ourselves?
Yes - Bring your own swimwear and towel - possibly bathing shoes and a bathrobe. The latter is not a must, but it can be nice to have when it's very cold outside.
Is anyone else coming to Outdoor Wellness?
You won't be sharing a hot tub or sauna with anyone else - but there will probably be others on our site. Likewise, cold water can
How often is the water changed in your hot tubs?
The bathing water is changed daily with water of drinking water quality. There is a maximum of 4 groups in the tubs in one day and the tubs are only used for one day - regardless of the number of guests, after which the water is emptied.
We are approved as a public swimming pool by the municipality, which means that we are subject to the same conditions for bathing water quality as when you go to the swimming pool.
The bathing water is disinfected with active oxygen disinfectant.
We use large Sand Filter pumps with active filter glass that filter the water efficiently with a water circulation of 15m3/hour
We continuously take water samples and adjust the PH before and after each shift.
Eurofins Denmark comes once a month and takes samples of the bathing water in all the pools. After which the laboratory analyses are sent to the municipality
What does outdoor wellness cost?
The price for a 1.5-hour outdoor wellness event is DKK 350 per participant regardless of how many you are. However, in connection with the Package deal with SUP event, you save DKK 100 per participant.Β
The minimum number of participants is 4 people if you book hot tub OR Sauna. If you want to book both hot tub AND sauna, the minimum number of participants is 6 people.
Booking
What if we don't know the final number of participants?
When you send us an enquiry for an event at Surf Agency, you select the maximum number of participants - that way we are sure to have enough equipment and instructors. You then have the option to change the number of participants up to 7 days before the event - whereby the balance is also changed and paid. This way you don't need to know the final number of participants until 7 days before the event.
Can we pay on the day?
We prefer to pay in advance so we don't have to spend time on the day when we'd rather spend time on the water πΒ
A booking is considered confirmed upon payment of the deposit, so it's also so we can make sure you show up. If EAN payment or payment on the day is important, we will find a solution π
What if the weather is bad? Can we paddle?
There is no such thing as bad weather - only bad clothing π
We have warm wetsuits, boots, hats, mittens and more, so you can keep warm! It doesn't matter if it rains - we'll jump in the water and get wet anyway. We know this area really well and know where to seek shelter in the wind. Of course, we keep an eye on the weather and if we think it's too dangerous to go on the water (lightning, thunder and stormy weather) we'll talk to you in the days leading up to the event and discuss the possibilities. IfΒ vi cancelled due to weather, we will try to move the event to another day or come up with some alternative options, but if this is not possible we will refund your money.
What is the maximum/minimum number of people you can have?
We organise group events, teambuilding and bachelor party events for a minimum of 4 people and so far we have had 90 people on the water at the same time. We have the opportunity to make different solutions if you are over 40 people.Β
Can I get a discount?
We have different packages with a good discount built in, so the more you book the better the deal.
Can you change the number of participants?
When you book group events with Surf Agency, you do not need to know the final number of participants until 7 days before the event. Within 7 days of the event, we can add more participants if we have the capacity to do so. We do not give refunds if there are fewer participants than stated 7 days before the event.
Can we hold the event in English?
Yes - we can do that. All our instructors are fluent in English, we also have a few instructors who can teach in German and Spanish if needed π
What if we want to cancel?
When you pay the deposit, we enter into a binding agreement. It is therefore not possible to get your money back if you later wish to cancel. Together we can find a solution to move the event to a later date if it is not possible for you to hold it at the time booked.
